Fitness First While Traveling

As a gym rat who never misses a workout, keeping up with my fitness routine while on vacation can be an adventure in itself.

The Hotel Gym Scramble

Hotel gyms are always a surprise. I never know if I’ll get a spacious facility or a tiny room with some dumbbells and a dusty treadmill. But I’ll make do with whatever equipment they have. I may look ridiculous doing squats and lunges all over the place, but it’s worth it to break a sweat.

The Great Outdoors

No gym is no problem! When the weather is nice, I take my exercise outside. I’ll go for a jog to see the sights or do bodyweight workouts in a park. Sure, it’s a bit strange when other people stare at the crazy tourist doing burpees and mountain climbers outside. But I’d rather work out under the open sky than be cooped up inside.

When All Else Fails…

If I can’t escape to a gym or the outdoors, I have to get creative. Jumping jacks, push-ups, and squats in my hotel room will do the trick. I may get some annoyed looks from neighboring guests if I’m making too much noise. But I’ve gotta do what I’ve gotta do to break a sweat!

Staying fit while traveling has its challenges, but with some flexibility and humor, I can usually find a way to maintain my exercise regimen. Ain’t no vacation gonna stop this gym rat from getting her daily workout on!
